The first international tournament organized by World Capoeira Federation was held on 19 of June, 2011 in Baku city, Azerbaijan. The tournament also was supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan Republic, Main Department of Youth and Sport of Baku City, the Embassy of the Republic of Brasilia in Azerbaijan. The tournament was broadcast by international tv channels and mass media and it was demonstrated by live broadcast for three hours by state tv channel. The participants from 10 different countries took part in the tournament. The winners were awarded by medal, diploma and gifts.
