A new Chairperson and Secretary has already been nominated by the Council of Masters and subsequently approved by the WCF Management Board. Mr Jean Adrıano Barros Da Sılva (Mestre Jean Pangolın) is to take up position of the Chair Council of Masters and Ms. Carolina Gusmao Magalhaes (Mestra Brisa) take up position of the Secretary.
Mestre Jean Pangolin is a Professor and former Dean of Extension at UFRB, researcher at the Teacher Training Center, UFRB. Graduated in physical education from the Federal University of Bahia (2001), Specialist in School Physical Education (2003), Master of Capoeira, Vice President of the GUETO group, former President of the Federation of Capoeira da Bahia, Master of Education from the Federal University from Bahia (2008). Doctor in educational sciences from the University of Minho in Portugal, Post doctor in educational sciences from the University of Minho in Portugal, author of books in the areas of Culture and Education, Coordinator of the GUETO / UFRB Research Group and the Balaio de Cat - UFRB. He has experience in the area of Education, with an emphasis on Inclusive Education, working mainly on the following themes: capoeira, human body culture, Supervised Internship in Physical Education and Visual Disability.
Mestra Brisa started capoeira in 1992, in the Northeast of Amaralina - Salvador-Bahia-Brasil, with Mestre Bozó Preto, still going through two institutions until arriving in 1999 at the Associação Cultural GUETO with Mestre Jean Pangolin.
At the GUETO Brasil Capoeira School, she learned and challenged, produced, taught, graduated in 2000 as a teacher, in 2004 as a foreman and in 2009 as a capoeira master.
Living in Salvador allowed her to live and learn closely with the daily life of several great masters (João Pequeno, Decânio, Itapoan, Curio, Canjiquinha, Ezequiel, Nenel, Boinha, Cafune, Formiga, Moraes, Boca Rica, Gildo alfinete, Pelé da Bomba, Boca Rica, among countless others).
